Team members hold first STEM workshops with elementary school students!
Between the 13th and 22nd of January 2016, eight schools from the experimental group hosted the first intervention of the JOBSTEM project: science workshops for students of the fourth, fifth and sixth grades of elementary school.
Scientists Predrag Pale, Tomislav Jagušt, Juraj
Petrović, Nenad Katanić and Ivana Storjak from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing ran worshops tailored to increase interest and motivation for school subjects in the STEM area as well as careers related to mathematics and engineering, with the support and assistence of the Institute of Social Sciences Ivo Pilar researchers Josip Burušić, Marija Šakić Velić, Toni
Babarović and
Ivan Dević.
The students showed great enthusiasm and interest in the presentations, and agreed they were looking forward to what is to come In February, when the next session is scheduled at the Faculty of electrical engineering and computing.
